Curriculum
Each student will be assigned computer-based tasks to be completed prior to a scheduled date and time within the current semester he/she is enrolled in Credit Recovery. Students are evaluated and credited when all course objectives have been met. Students are required to earn a grade of 70 or better in the course to show mastery and receive credit.  Progress is monitored within the program so each student knows exactly how much he/she has done and how much remains

THERE IS NO CARRYOVER OF COURSES FROM 1 SEMESTER TO THE NEXT OR FROM LAST YEAR TO THIS YEAR. 

Course Procedures 

CREDIT-BASED GRADING PROCEDURES (THESE MAKE UP 90% OF AN EOC COURSE, AND 100% OF ALL OTHER COURSES):

1. Vocabulary and Lecture a. You must complete these assignments. Use the information provided to write your notes in your notebook.
2. Lab Lecture and Lab Assessment a. Not all subjects will have these, but if you do, you must complete them. b. IF YOU TAKE NOTES DURING THE UNIT, YOUR LAB ASSESSMENTS CAN BE CHECKED FOR WRONG ANSWERS. c. You will get 3 tries on the lab assessment
3. Online Content a. This is the “textbook” version of Credit Recovery. You will have websites to view. b. You may have to answer questions about the websites. If so, these grades COUNT so do your best.
4. Assignments a. These grades COUNT so do your best.
5. Essays a. These grades COUNT so do your best.
6. Quiz a. You will be allowed 3 tries on the quiz. b. If you fail all retakes of the quiz, you may only receive one additional retake. To get this retake you must REWATCH the LECTURE videos. c. If you do not want to re-watch the video OR have failed the quiz again, you will use your highest grade to continue working through the program.
7. Test a. You will have 3 tries on a test.  If you do not pass, you will receive the highest of the 3 scores. 8. Exam a. You will have three (3) tries on the Cumulative Exam.  If you do not pass, you will receive the highest of the 3 scores.

1. Algebra 1
2. US History
3. 11th Gr Literature
4. Biology 
 

Expectations

The Credit Recovery program is an opportunity, not a requirement.  All students should practice the following habits:

• Regular attendance in class in accordance with LSHS attendance policy • KEEP UP; FALLING BEHIND LEADS TO INCOMPLETE COURSES
• Good time management skills for the 90-minute block
• Organized work habits displayed daily
• WE ALL RESPECT EACH OTHER
• FOLLOW all school policies (academics, attendance, behavior, technology, etc.) Violation of rules may result in removal from the program
• Use of materials as required in class. HEADPHONES ALLOW YOU TO HEAR LECTURES.  USE DAILY 
• PHONES KEEP YOU FROM FINISHING Credit Recovery.  It Is the students’ responsibility to manage his/her cell phone.  Chronic phone disruptions may result in administrative referrals.  At NO time should students be making/receiving calls, taking videos/pictures, or communicating via social media during class time. 

 Violation of the above rules may result in a warning on the first offense by the teacher. A disciplinary referral may result from any subsequent offenses. Removal from the program may occur with the third offense. This will be at the administrator's discretion. 

Behavior

Students are expected to act like the mature class men and women, they are.  Inappropriate behavior will be dealt with, immediately.
