Welcome Back to School!
HAPPY NEW YEAR LION NATION!
We have gotten off to a great start for the second semester! Allow me to express my deep appreciation for the diligence of staff members and the compliance of our students with our Covid-19 protocols. By doing so, we have been successful in limiting the number of COVID-19 cases arising from the actual school building. The efforts of our Administrators, Clerical Staff, Health Monitor, and Central Office Personnel have been phenomenal, which has allowed our school to stay open with minimal disruption. I am also pleased to announce that we now have a Full-Time School Nurse that will assist greatly in keeping us healthy.
Additionally, I want to give a very BIG THANK YOU to our custodians who have worked tirelessly to clean and sanitize our building. Although digital Fridays add some frustration for teachers, students, and parents; it is essential in maintaining our safety and well-being.
Lastly, I appreciate your continued patience and support as we move into the final stretch of the year. We are making progress every day in providing the best quality instruction possible in the midst of a global pandemic This is due to the diligent work of the entire Lithia Lion Family. I encourage you to continue to reach out to your student's teachers if you need assistance on Fridays through the Sign-up Genius links provided by the teachers. It is imperative that students are completing ALL ASSIGNMENTS on a weekly basis! We will continue to use Fridays to only focus on essential skills through our Clean Up The M.E.S.S. process which is outlined in the below section of this newsletter. This also serves to reduce the burden some at home while all students are in a virtual environment. The grade book data from the first semester indicates that students who are consistently completing all assignments and connecting with their teachers on Fridays are showing higher grades and assessment scores! Thank you to those who are working hard everyday to ensure each assignment and activity is completed! Lets continue working to make Lithia Springs HS the best place to Educate, Motivate, and Elevate!
Sincerely,
Principal Joshua
