STEM students at Lithia Springs High School recently used the Engineering Design Challenge to step into a world of creativity and innovation. This initiative allows scholars to engage with the Engineering Design Process, transforming innovative ideas into tangible solutions.

From planning to execution, these aspiring engineers were challenged with constructing a tall and stable tower, a task that not only enhanced their technical skills but also strengthened their collaboration and problem-solving abilities.

“This challenge is more than just a test of building skills; it's a testament to the power of teamwork, resilience, and creativity,” said Nicole Oliver-Wynn, STEM Coordinator at Lithia Springs High School. “As they work together, these young engineers are building structures, but more importantly, they are laying the foundation for their futures as innovators and leaders in STEM fields.”

Overall, the goal of the Engineering Design Challenge is to spark interest in engineering and STEM while helping learners develop key character traits such as curiosity, creativity, and persistence.
