Students in Ms. Handy’s EMT class recently participated in a hands-on infant CPR training session, gaining essential life-saving skills using realistic tools and expert guidance.
During the session, students practiced delivering breaths to infant mannequins using a bag-valve mask, an important technique used in emergency medical care. Assisting with the training was Lieutenant Crider of the Douglas County Fire Department, who provided expert instruction and support as students learned the proper techniques for infant CPR.
This interactive experience gave students valuable exposure to real-world emergency procedures, preparing them for future roles in emergency medical services.
Great job to all the students—and a special thank you to Lieutenant Crider for sharing his time and expertise!
