From bare soil patches to the first signs of mosses, weeds, and grasses, students observed how nature begins to reclaim and transform spaces. With time, these areas could grow into thriving habitats filled with shrubs, flowers, and even young trees.
By sketching, photographing, and collecting data, students brought textbook concepts to life—seeing firsthand how ecosystems develop and change over time. A great day of science in the field!
